A little bit about Lily

Lilly (yard name) is a 2 year old , GBB registered, bay filly who will be trained by Craig Lidster in Malton.

The Great British Bonus Scheme (GBB) incentivises and rewards the breeding, buying and racing of British-bred fillies. Owners, breeders and winning connections of each horse can win a share of up to £20,000 per eligible race, enabling owners and other connections to the horse to win up to £16,000 per race won. 

Her sire Lightning Spear (https://tweenhills.com/stallion/lightning-spear) is a stand out stallion.

• Winner of the Sussex Stakes Gr.1, placed in a further 7 Gr.1 races and dual Gr.2 winner
• Son of the late Pivotal, a proven sire of sires and outstanding broodmare sire
• Timeform rated 124, higher than Pivotal’s successful stallion son Siyouni
• 75% winners to runners from his first crop including 6-time winner Atlantic Gamble, 4-time winner Royal Velvet and 3-time winners Destiny’s Spirit and Umming N’ Ahing. 

Racing onto the age of 7 years, he was a won every year from the age of 2 yrs  and is steeped in black type wins at 1 mile.

Lilly’s dam Grape Shot comes from the Galileo bloodline, Grape Shot (whose career was cut short through injury ) stallion is Nathanial and her black type winning dam Angara  (https://www.racingpost.com/profile/horse/599619/angara/progeny) is a proven winner , she  won 6 races including x2 Group 1 and a x1 Group 3 and was placed x6 times in Group 1’s and Group 2’s.
